PRICING POLICY

Usken can modify all furniture shown on this website upon request - the dimensions of a cabinet with a TV lift for example.

Tell us what you need and we will provide you with a clearly broken down quote.

Modifications may involve some of the following processes, for which we charge £35 per hour:

i. repositioning of cutting machinery. ii. purchasing alternative sizes and quantities of materials. iii. researching application suitability & materials new to us. iv. time dedicated to ensuring your request is achievable, safe, and can carry our guarantee. v. Additional design or styling details.

Special one-off furniture commissions are also available. An estimate for the total work involved will be provided based on information provided by the customer in writing.

We will produce a 3d drawing, a specification document and provide supporting materials samples (wherever possible) FREE OF CHARGE.

A written contract will be made upon the core design and specification being mutually agreed. If you are happy for us to begin the project, we will require a 30% down payment payable by cheque only. If you change your mind we will refund this sum minus all costs incurred by Usken up to that point.

In the event of further changes to the design, an additional payment will be required based on the extra hours necessary. Any further time spent, due to customer changes, on additional research, design, technical drawing, material sourcing, testing and workshop production are charged at £35 per hour.

Expected delivery times will vary dependent on the project, but generally the lead-time will be between 12 - 16 weeks beginning from your sign-off. We will inform you if otherwise.

At key times, we will update you during the manufacturing process. This is part of our policy to help you appreciate the attention to detail when buying bespoke furniture from Usken. When your item is completed, we will notify you with photographic images of your hand-finished furniture.
